Exploring Human Emotions: My Participation in the ‘Emotion’ Exhibition at Cista Arts
I am excited to share some wonderful news with you all—I am participating in the online group exhibition Emotion at Cista Arts, which runs from September 1st to September 30th, 2024. This exhibition is a unique and vibrant platform that brings together a diverse group of artists, all exploring the vast and intricate spectrum of human emotions through their work.
For this exhibition, I have contributed two pieces from my latest collection titled The Essence. These paintings, The Essence 2401 and The Essence 2408, are both acrylic on canvas, with dimensions of 80 x 60 cm and 40 x 60 cm respectively. In creating these works, I used the human face as a central element to explore the essence of humanity through abstraction. The collection is deeply inspired by one of my poems: ‘We are all light. We are all shadow. We are all colour. We are all rainbow.’ This guiding thought drives the concept behind the paintings, as I seek to move beyond the physical surface and into the profound interconnectedness that unites us all.
My goal with The Essence is to encourage viewers to look past our apparent differences and recognise the common essence that binds us together as humans. In a world that often highlights our distinctions, I believe it is crucial to remember that, at a deeper level, we are all connected.
Participating in Emotion has been a wonderful experience for me. It’s given me the chance to continue exploring themes that are central to my artistic practice—celebrating diversity and provoking thoughtful reflection. I am honoured to share this exhibition space with such talented artists, each bringing their own unique perspective and emotional depth to the show.
The exhibition is accessible online via this link: https://www.cistaarts.com/emotion throughout the month of September 2024, and for those who are interested, an exhibition book is also available for purchase on the Cista Arts website (https://www.cistaarts.com/product-page/emotion ).
I warmly invite you to explore the exhibition.
