It is my pleasure to share the exciting news that my artwork, Symphony of Features 2403, has been awarded the People’s Choice (Best in Show) at the Doncaster Open Art Exhibition 2024.

This recognition means a great deal to me, especially knowing that it resonates with so many of you.

Symphony of Features 2403 is an acrylic on canvas piece, measuring 80 x 60 cm, and it holds a special place in my heart. Through this work, I explore the interconnectedness of our world, expressed through the dual representation of the human face. I believe that we, as individuals, are deeply intertwined with global events and that our thoughts and words are constantly shaped by the world around us. At the same time, we each play a crucial role in shaping that world in return.

For those who may not know much about me, I consider Earth to be my country. My artistic journey has always been guided by a desire to be an agent of social transformation, spreading a message of peace and unity in diversity. I discovered my passion for art at a young age and pursued non-formal education at various art institutes before moving on to formal fine art education. This foundation has allowed me to build a fulfilling career in the visual arts and illustration.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of participating in solo and group exhibitions, both locally and internationally. These opportunities have enabled me to share my perspective on the interconnectedness of humanity and the beauty found in our differences. While acrylic paint is my preferred medium, I also enjoy working with coloured pencil, dry pastel, and watercolour.

My work primarily features portraits and figures, but I don’t like to confine myself to a single style or method. Instead, I find strength in blending various styles and colour palettes, which allows me to further explore the concept of unity in diversity. Currently, I’m working on several ongoing projects, including Symphony of Features and The Essence.

Winning the People’s Choice Award at this year’s Doncaster Open Art Exhibition is an incredible honour, and I’m deeply grateful for your support.
